Careers

Bitcraze is not a traditional workplace. We are a small, self-organizing team with a mission to make robotics more open, more collaborative, and more meaningful. We believe technology can and should contribute to society in positive ways. If you share that belief, if you enjoy solving complex problems in code, and if you want to work in a place where your ideas and curiosity truly shape the outcome, we might be the right place for you.

How We Work

We have no managers, and no titles. Instead, we operate as a self-managed collective built on trust, collaboration, and shared responsibility. No one tells anyone else what to do. Decisions are made together, problems are solved together, and success is measured by how well the team thrives.

This might sound unusual, but we have developed a robust way of working that guides our daily collaboration without limiting creativity. At Bitcraze, you will never be a cog in a machine. You will be part of building the machine itself.

Location and Practicalities

We are based in Malmö, Sweden, and we believe deeply in the value of human connection. Collaboration, learning, and innovation happen best when people share the same space, so we limit remote work.

We currently only accept applications from candidates who have the legal right to work in the European Union.

Our working language is English.

What We Work On

We are a small and highly collaborative team, which means you will likely work across several areas rather than staying confined to one narrow role. The work is varied, challenging, and often interdisciplinary. Some of the areas you might contribute to include:

Software and Product Development

Design and implement new functionality for our open-source platform, from embedded firmware and client software to Python libraries and developer tools. Prototype new ideas, improve existing products, and help shape the future of flying robotics.

Technical Support and Community Engagement

Support and guide users around the world through GitHub, forums, email, and other channels. Problems range from basic setup questions to highly complex engineering challenges. You will learn a lot and help others do the same.

Systems and Infrastructure

Maintain and evolve the systems that make Bitcraze run: websites, build pipelines, discussion platforms, internal tools, supply chain tracking, and more.

Business and Strategy

Think beyond code. Explore new application areas, define long-term strategy, and contribute to how Bitcraze grows sustainably and responsibly in the future.

Operations and Logistics

Ensure that our products reach users efficiently and reliably. Work with production partners, manage supply chains, and help optimize the way we deliver hardware worldwide.

Communication and Outreach

Create blog posts, documentation, videos, and other materials to share our work with the world. Represent Bitcraze at conferences and events, and engage directly with the robotics community.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for people who are motivated by curiosity. You might be a software developer, robotics engineer, researcher, or system builder. What matters most is that you enjoy learning, collaborating, and building things that matter.

If you believe technology should be open, if you want to work in a team where decisions are shared and ideas are valued, and if you are excited by the idea of contributing to a global robotics community, then we would love to hear from you.

Apply

If you feel that Bitcraze could be the right place for you, tell us about yourself, what excites you, and how you would like to contribute.
